Halloween Buy Back Program

Use Cash To Wean Your Kids Off Halloween Candy

This week your little ghosts, goblins and witches will sort, trade and gorge on their favorite sweets. Some of the scariest parts of Halloween are yet to come, as post Halloween days can be daunting and exhausting for parents. If you are a parent, you know what I am talking about. Fighting with your children and negotiating limits to how much candy they can and will gobble up is a battle.

A way to shorten this tiresome interval of “operation limit sugar-intake,” is to let your kids get paid to give up their loot. Yup. Bribe them with some cold hard cash with The Halloween Candy Buyback Program. This article will show you how.

Wean your kids off Halloween candy this year by participating in The Halloween Candy Buy Back Program. This article tells you everything you need to know!

The Halloween candy buy back program

Check out The Halloween Candy Buyback Program (HCBB), which was founded by Wisconsin dentist Chris Kammer in 2005. The goal of The Halloween Candy Buyback Program is to get candy “off the streets” by having participating dental offices pay $1 for every pound of candy a child brings to them.

Once dentists have collected the candy, they send it to participating veteran organizations. These organizations then put the sweets into care packages and ship them to military troops overseas and to veterans at VA hospitals across the country. Over the years, more than 130 tons of candy has been collected.

Conclusion

Parents, you now have a tool that will help unload candy that will cross your threshold this week. Introducing kids to The Halloween Candy Buyback Program is a great way to teach them about moderation and how to think strategically about what it is that they truly want and what they will give up for it.

Once the kids dump their candy for cash, their wallets/piggybanks will grow, not their tummies!
