Bamboo Core Fitness is a fitness and wellness company located in South Natick, MA that focuses on holistic nutrition coaching, performance conditioning and lifestyle management. Using C.H.E.K Institute, MovNat, and NASM coaching principles, Bamboo Core Fitness delivers a comprehensive and integrative approach to achieving physical, psychological and emotional health.
Programs provided by Bamboo Core Fitness succeed in creating solutions to fitness and nutritional roadblocks. Holistic methods are used to improve efficiency of natural movement skills and provide insight to how disease and stress are preventable through healthy eating habits and lifestyle management techniques. This approach ultimately enhances vitality and in return, achieves lasting lifestyle results for those participating in Bamboo Core’s programs.
Bamboo Core Fitness was launched in 2009 by Jennifer Regan, a MovNat Certified Trainer, C.H.E.K Institute Holistic Lifestyle Coach, and NASM Certified Personal Trainer.
While working in the commercial world of the health and fitness industry, Jennifer became disappointed by the ever-so-popular one-dimensional approach to fitness and wellness. Over the course of ten years, she wore many hats. She worked as a Certified NASM Personal Trainer, lacrosse coach at collegiate and youth levels, strength and conditioning coach for local athletic teams, cancer wellness
specialist, group exercise instructor, corporate wellness consultant, and fitness studio manager.
During these years, Jennifer observed that many health professionals in her field were neglecting to look at the mind, body and spirit as an intertwined unit. Instead, these doctors, trainers and coaches were examining each part in isolation and then dealing with these parts separate from the whole picture. This often led to an imbalanced approach that treated the symptoms without ever getting to the root of the problems.
Jennifer had observed (and continues to observe) the impact societal and modern technological shifts have had on people. By working closely with others, it has become evident to her that we humans are being pulled away from our natural environments and biological needs. Today’s world has presented us with a sedentary lifestyle over-complicated with fitness machines and nutritional diet trends. As we move away from our natural world, the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of our whole bodies begin to suffer. Stress creeps into our lives and vitality levels become impaired. Injury, illness, obesity, depression and compromised mobility ultimately follow.
Jennifer quickly learned that in order to restore balance in life and improve overall vitality, it was necessary to take a proactive approach to health and healing that was based on the specific needs of each individual; one that looks at the whole picture.
This resonated with Jennifer, causing her to study more about holistic health principles. She educated herself on alternatives to this fragmented way of thinking – techniques that allow us to look at health and physical fitness as a totality rather than in a compartmentalized manner.
In 2009, Jennifer became certified as a CHEK Holistic Lifestyle and Nutrition Coach. She then applied the CHEK coaching methods to her own lifestyle and began experiencing personal gains in all areas of her life. Common sense directed her to incorporate this new material into her fitness and nutrition coaching with clients. Jennifer customized holistic methods to her clients’ unique physiological profiles and goals, and, as a result, her clients yielded great successes.
Bamboo Core Fitness Studio
These positive experiences were the catalysts that sparked Jennifer to launch Bamboo Core Fitness in 2009. Being able to take the knowledge she has learned about fitness, nutrition and lifestyle management and place it into one company has been exciting.
By having a studio location, Jennifer is now able to reach out to several more people. Spreading awareness about holistic and healthy living to those looking to improve their lifestyle and vitality has become quite rewarding for Jennifer.
Wanting to help others break away from the societal chains mentioned above, Jennifer proceeded to integrate a multi-faceted approach into her coaching practice and continues to do so now. She assesses clients’ lifestyles completely, identifies the causes of their sub-optimal wellness levels, and teaches each individual how to transition to optimum weight, energy and overall well-being.
In August of 2012, Jennifer furthered her education by becoming certified as a MovNat Certified Trainer. This provided her with more “tools” in her teaching toolbox. Through the application of natural movement and sound nutritional practices, she now coaches people of all ages, genders, and ability levels how to adapt to anything their environment throws at them, regardless of the context. With this approach, it becomes possible to awaken both the body and the mind and permanent results become a reality.
Since planting its roots in 2009, Bamboo Core Fitness has grown into a successful holistic lifestyle, nutrition and natural fitness coaching company complete with a studio located in the heart of historic South Natick, Massachusetts.
